April week 4 - Speak with a new tongue

Yes, he still loves his chickens

A drawing of trees and him with his baby brother

I'm glad he gets some time to just lay on the grass and look at the sky

Babysitting some bonus kids

This is Paul.  Love of books starts right away in this house.

A family over to play with another baby two weeks older than ours.

I found this literacy manual created by the Church of Jesus Christ at out stake center, all using scripture passages.  It seems to be out of print, but I want to find a copy.

Folding laundry

There is actually a ladybug in there covered in purple fuzz

bike ride!

'Vacuuming' out the sewer - that captivated the attention of all the kids for an hour.  A good natural learning opportunity

Helping to pick up rocks.  He is always there to do house/yard work with me.  He loves to work :)

There's water in the canal!  She sunk a minute later and it was so cold I don't think she will get back in all summer.

Planting tomatoes as a family

She created her own drawing sanctuary

Wanted to 'play school' one day during kidschool/play hour, so they set up desks and chairs and had me stand in front.

He likes mud, and our new peach trees

"Speak with a new tongue, yea, even with the tongue of angels" -2 Nephi 31:19
(Going with Elder Holland's use of this scripture in how we speak to each other. No we are not studying a foreign language this week)
Song of the week: Choose the Right Way, CS. #160

This is always filled in as the week goes, not beforehand.  Life is not run by a pre-determined curriculum.  We try to be "led by the spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which we should do",  I went to the temple Saturday morning.  FHE was a flop on Monday so we repented and had it on Friday.  We had a great time boating with the Grovers on Saturday and even coincidentally ran into my cousin Sheli and her family by the lake, which was awesome.  What a great week.
