Jan. week 3 - evil communications corrupt good manner

working in the basement

Feel happy you only have to see the "AFTER" pictures

This place was a complete disaster

I worked all week to bring a bit of order to all the tools, etc.

And Greg was able to 'easily' install lights in the front room above the fireplace! YAY!

Trying out some new cats at the animal shelter

This one is cute

and small

and happy with kids.

A keeper?

Hiking on the mountain

Picking up our new cat

Very happy kids!

Kiity's new home (in the bathroom for now)

So instead of having a whole bunch of "Victor"s around...

...we've got one cute "Victoria", a.k.a. Tori (or Safire)

She is a very loved cat

We brought her home on January 21st. A one year-old 'tortie' (Tortoise-shell)

While the boys are away, the ladies will play (or cook)

and watch a movie

and play with the cute baby

and the cute kitty

and read many books

and hug the baby

The 'boys' (Greg, Troy and Cash) were ice fishing in Bear Lake with 'Grandpa' Ralph Blotter and his two grandsons.  They brought home a lot of fish from the Cisco Disco.

Pretty good little fish eater

Jade shared a great family home evening lesson on our family's 5-H motto:
Happy Helpful Hard-working Honest Holy Ghost

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:33 "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners."

Jan. week 2 - Call the Sabbath a delight

My parents came up for Sunday dinner

With a cute chair from Grandma Pat

which the kids totally love

One day I was almost starting to panic when Cash didn't answer being called and I couldn't find him anywhere.
I found him asleep on the floor here over a heater vent.

cute brother pop up in the strangest places

Lego time!

We built this heart with the core of the gospel, the two great commandments:
Love the Lord and Love thy neighbor.
It really is that simple.

He built a cool Lego truck.

Jade shoveling snow.

Troy pulling Greg and Paul in a sled behind the ATV.

Fun times

Cash on the yellow 4-wheeler at the back

Wrestling time with Dad!

Pretending to be some of the sixteen glowing stones (See story in Ether)

These shirts are particularly fun in the black light

The picture don't do it justice.

We are LOVING ready Little House in the Big Woods at night right now.
Greg took the older three kids to the rodeo while I stayed home and put Paul to bed early and enjoyed a night of meditation with the Lord.

Scripture: Isaiah 58:13-14 "If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord...
