Sept week 1 - Obey God and not men

A Puppet Play

Play time

Troy's starting to help write things

We love this "mountain park"!

It was very fun.  We missed Troy, who was at school.

(4 days until Cash's Birthday)

Cute

A very cool tree

Paul LOVES gloves

R.V. Time!

Our friends 'made' us borrow this RV and go on an overnighter

All buckled in

We went up to Left-hand Fork

And brought the dirt bikes

of all sizes

and shapes

This track was perfect

The Grovers dropped by for a little while

Jake had a blast

And the next day Cash turned 4!

Happy Birthday Cash!

What a great way to have a birthday! (and a simple way!)

And then...Troy crashed. On his dirt bike.  Really hard.  We found him lying on the ground with a face covered in blood not getting up.  Yes, he was wearing a helmet, which most likely saved his life.  The blood was all from his nose, which probably hit the handlebars.  God sent angels to watch over this boy today.

So that was our cue

that it was time to go home

Most of them were asleep within minutes

A VERY fun trip!

Scripture: "We ought to Obey God and not men" -Acts 5:29
Song: "Ere you left your room this morning, did you think to pray?
In the name of Christ our Savior
did you sue for loving favor
as a shield today?

August week 4 - Signs follow those that believe

all four eating Popsicles

play

Our annual hike to Green Pond by Snowbasin, right at the start of Fall Learning

Bunny sighting!

They are GREAT hikers

There's that bunny again

Still hiking - they earned their Root Beer after, for sure.

Troy is going to the local public school a block from our house....

Yes, seriously.
I know not, save the Lord commanded me.
I felt uneasy, in a stupor and unsure for an entire week after fasting on "How to homeschool better". After I decided to send him to school, although it was against everything in my mind that I have decided over the past two years, the Lord blessed me with peace in my heart.

I still get to homeschool her, though!

(who lost a tooth that morning)

and I still get to homeschool him

and him

Their DAD took them to this!
(A serious sacrifice of love on his part)

bike ride!

playing at the park

and another park

visiting my Grandma Pat and Aunt Kendra
helping her weed her garden

School! (at the treehouse museum)

tons of HARD work on the barn roof

Scripture: "Faith cometh not by signs, but signs follow those that believe" -D&C 63:4
Song:"Lead me into life eternal by the gospel's holy call.  Let thy promise rest upon me; grant me ready strength for all" - Hymn #45

I certainly needed a lot faith to send Troy to public school this week.
We focused on each kids day of the week a bit more this week: Tuesday Troy day, Jade Wednesday, Cash Thursday and Paul Friday - they each picked two or three things to do that day, along with their usual 'leadership role' that day in choosing food, prayers, etc.
