December 2014

We created a Family Home Evening wheel for kidschool

Our Artist

Converting old socks into doll clothes (Jade's idea)
A beautiful sunny day reading by the Nativity at the library

And later Cash fell on his head...Angels were watching over him that day and there was no concussion or broken neck - just a big goose-egg on the forehead.

One evening they wanted to write in their journal

Wrapping gifts for each other that they got at D.I.

A new-found way to mop the floor (look under my feet) - yes, this can be done while holding a baby.

WEEK 2:

Yeah, he amazing me with his drawing

Had a great evening at the Christmas Village for Family Night

Sewing clothes for their stuffed animals and dolls
So happy with Blackie's new clothes

Christmas Eve at the Mckinnon cousins.  Somehow the Journey Dinner tradition evolved into Breakfast Burritos - mm mm, they were good!

Christmas Morning

The real gift on Christmas was from God, of course - this amazing white world that showed up overnight.  It was so amazing and beautiful.  I love how He can just blow us away (like one year His lightning show completely beat the fireworks show on Independence Day).

Best part of Christmas day for Cash.

Like, I said the best part of Christmas was outside.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME! The upstairs laundry was is finished! Yay!

 Pretending to be dogs

WEEK 4:

The new washing machine is so mesmerizing!

 Sitting!

Got the bathroom mirror installed on New Year's Eve, just as we left town for St. George.

Thanksgiving 2014

She sure loves this little guy.
I went ahead and gave in and let them put up the tree before Thanksgiving, and it was called the "Thanksgiving Tree" - Following in their Nana Mathews shoes.

Jade finally goes on stage! (This is huge as anyone who witnessed the Primary program can attest).  She and Troy acted in "Stone Soup" at the treehouse museum with Grandma and Grandpa Beesley there.

I made a turkey! This is also huge, for me.

The kids even made name-place settings.

 They sure love each other.

Troy truly is a genius.  He thought up the design to the top of this - I was seriously amazed.

Week 12 - Choose you this day

 THE BEST building blocks
(random scrap wood from Greg's work)

 Learning about "TIME"

 Making (Shaking!) Homemade Butter

 "Famlies are Forever"

 'worker-girl'

We spent FIVE AND A HALF HOURS at the Treehouse museum one peaceful weekday, and discovered all sorts of things, such as this giant floor puzzle.

Now every time we go, he hunts down this horse and carries it around the whole time...

 Good Fall fresh air

 Love this pic!

 Happy boy

 CUTE
And for direct comparison.  Yeah, they are basically the same boy.

Great discussion on TRUTH, and Abinadi teaching King Noah and his priests.  What he sacrificed in order to share truth - Abinadi is one of my heroes.

Painting - I painted the picture in foreground.  Lead by example, right?

hmmm, not sure who took this picture...

Just let them play...and genius will surface.

Sitting by each other on the couch.  Yes, I still like him. A lot.

"Choose you this day whom ye will serve...as for me and my house we will serve the LORD." -Joshua 24:15
